March 10, 2021 (Atlanta, GA) - Roughly a year after agreeing to lease a little more than half of the complex, SBS Transportation has now taken the remaining available space at the massive Palmetto Logistics Center in Palmetto, Georgia.

The international shipping and logistics company agreed to a deal with MCB Real Estate to take the remaining space, totaling 482,700 square feet, at 1015 Collinsworth Road. SBS specializes in handling containers used to import and export goods and international air-sea freight forwarding, and with the lease now fully occupies the more than 1 million-square-foot distribution center.

Part of Minnesota-based Superior Brokerage Services, SBS Transportation has been a tenant in the building since last year when it leased 517,500 square feet for storage, distribution, and light assembly of finished power sports vehicles including ATVs and personal watercraft such as Jet Skis. The company expects to expand into its additional space this summer.

Todd M. Barton and Mark Hawks with CBRE brokered the deal for MCB Real Estate, a Baltimore-based company that acquired the speculative building for $50.8 million soon after its completion in early 2019. Mike Sutter with Lee & Associates represented SBS Transportation.

The property is located along Interstate 85 in Palmetto, about 15 miles southwest of Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
