Lee & Associates Assists Fortune 500 Company Relocate To the Dallas/Fort Worth Area

Addison, TX — September 13, 2018 —Lee & Associates Dallas/Fort Worth, one of the largest privately owned national real estate firms,  recently completed a lease transaction for an 32,130 square foot industrial space located at 1500 Solana Blvd., Westlake, TX 76262.

Core-Mark charged Lee & Associates in the search of a new corporate headquarters with in the Dallas/Fort Worth market.   “The DFW market continues to be an attractive spot for companies who are looking to relocate.  The pro-business environment, infrastructure and labor pools all play a key role in making Dallas a desirable location,” said Reid Bassinger, Lee & Associates Principal.

According to the Dallas Business Journal Scott McPherson, president and CEO of Core-Mark Holding Co. Inc., said, “The move will take place during the first half of 2019. The cost of operating out of the San Francisco Bay Area (is) high, and while San Francisco is our longtime home, the business has expanded dramatically over the years.  Dallas offers more favorable operating costs, lower taxes and a central location for Core-Mark’s nationwide business,” McPherson said.

Core-Mark, founded in 1888 as a single tobacco storefront in San Francisco, has grown into one of the largest distribution and marketers of consumer goods in North America.  With the relocation of their headquarters, Core-Mark is adding several new positions within IT and accounting areas.

Reid Bassinger, David Newton and Trey Fricke represented the tenant, Core-Mark, and the landlord was represented by Jeff Eckert, Blake Shipley, Frank Taylor and Jay Bailey of Jones Lang LaSalle.
