Recent Sale of 7 Acres will bring Convenience Store to Great Stream Commons

Pennsylvania—Lee & Associates, a national full-service commercial real estate firm Along with Union County is proud to announce the sale of 7 acres at Great Stream Commons to J. J. Powell, Inc. of Phillipsburg, PA for development of a Snappy’s Convenience Store. Snappy’s was founded in 1993 and is a locally-owned chain with nearly a dozen locations. This sale culminates an original agreement of sale approved by the Commissioners in July 2020.
The Snappy’s facility is fully permitted and J. J. Powell intends to start construction of the 5,100 SF facility in the near future. The new store is currently expected to open before the end of the year. The facility will offer 12 fueling positions for passenger vehicles as well as diesel fuel for commercial vehicles. Inside the store, customers will find Snappy’s award-winning cheesesteaks, sandwiches, appetizers and more from a real grille.
Keith Powell of J. J. Powell, Inc. said “we are very excited to be a first mover in Great Stream Commons; Gregg Township and Union County have been great to work with through the approvals process and we look forward to providing a much-needed service and amenity to local residents, those visiting the area, and future businesses planning to locate in the park”.
Union County Commissioner Chairman Preston Boop said “on behalf of the Commissioner’s we couldn’t be happier to welcome Snappy’s to Great Stream Commons and look forward to their long-term success in Gregg Township and Union County. This is just the first step in seeing Great Stream Commons become a commerce hub in the region”. According to Shawn McLaughlin, County Planning and Economic Development Director, he expects more good things to come at Great Stream Commons in the near future. Lee & Associates of Eastern Pennsylvania, the County’s brokerage consultant, is reporting substantial activity and interest in other areas of the park.
