LEE & ASSOCIATES ARRANGES SALE OF NEWLY CONSTRUCTED 7-ELEVEN PROPERTY IN NEWBERRY COUNTY
Lee & Associates Greenville-Spartanburg announces that investment sales market specialist Andrew Harrill has represented a Charlotte-based real estate developer in the sale of a newly constructed 7-Eleven convenience store located adjacent to Interstate 26 in Newberry, SC. The purchase price was $5,413,300.
The property is adjacent to Samsung’s $350M home appliance manufacturing facility, at I-26 and Highway 219 in Newberry County. Construction was completed in December 2020.
Harrill partnered with Ryan Barr & Ryan Bennett of Barr & Bennett Net Leased Investments, a Lee & Associates team based in the Lee & Associates North San Diego office, on the transaction. The Lee & Associates listing team generated multiple qualified offers for the property, which sold within 95 percent of the asking price.
“7-Eleven is among the most successful retailers in the U.S., and has had significant growth throughout South Carolina,” said Harrill. “With Samsung, Komatsu America, Kiswire and other manufacturing facilities in close proximity, this property is a great fit for these highly successful industrial developments on the Greenville-Columbia corridor. Obviously, this is a clear ‘win’ for all involved – Newberry County, 7-Eleven, and the Seller.”
Based in Irving, Texas, 7-Eleven is the largest chain in the convenience retailing industry with approximately 71,000 stores in 17 countries, including more than 11,000 in North America. The company has an AA- credit rating from S&P.
