Investment Sales Associate National Commercial Real Estate Broker – Washington, DC
Lee & Associates’ Washington, D.C. office is seeking an Investment Sales Specialist to join their Downtown office.
This is a unique opportunity to become part of one of the largest, broker-owned firms in North America and work alongside successful and experienced investment & development sales brokers.
This is an information management, research, writing, sales, and financial review position that proactively supports real estate Investment Sales and Leasing efforts. This position requires in-depth knowledge of Sales and marketing, administrative and operational policies and procedures and general business practices. Potential candidates must either have a Real Estate License or be able and willing to obtain a license.
Individual would work alongside a team of two brokers with a large portfolio and client base, learning to source and execute commercial real estate sales and lease transactions with a focus on development related transactions. The eventual goal would be to help establish your own practice that can stand on its own. Compensation is 100% based on commission earnings with a draw against commission offered for the right candidate. There is a great opportunity for advancement, which includes the ability to become a partner and share in the profits of the firm.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
- Research/reporting on regional and local submarkets, vacancy rates, rents, and demographics
- Write and prepare marketing materials including Offering Memoranda, Leasing Flyers, Proposals, Activity Reports.
- Assist in Business development by making phone calls and canvassing the market
- Work with the firm’s graphic designers to create creative Marketing Packages
- Coordinate the completion and submission of financial, marketing, and various client specific property data to incorporate into customized property information packages
- Manipulation and formatting of financial information in Microsoft Excel
- Help maintain organization of the team, including prioritizing certain deadlines and meetings
- Act as point of contact with client for receipt and organization of due diligence information
- Monitor database of competitive market information such as recent sales and lease transactions and deals on the market, and provide weekly updates to brokerage team
- Participate in site tours with the Team
- Coordinate and perform tours with speculative tenants within the Team’s office portfolio
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Strong analytic and writing skills
- Advanced Microsoft Office Suite, Excel and internet research skills
- Is a quick learner, has the ability for prioritize workload and adapt to changing conditions
