Lee & Associates Taps Avison Young’s Todd Korren to Lead NYC Leasing
Lee &Associates NYC has tapped Avison Young’s Todd Korren to head up its New York leasing team, Commercial Observer has learned.
Lee & Associates NYC announced today that it has appointed Todd Korren as its Principal, Executive Managing Director, and Director of Leasing. Korren will lead day-to-day brokerage operations, recruit, develop, and manage agents and staff, and participate in strategic planning and financial reporting while externally promoting Lee & Associates NYC in the marketplace.
Korren brings over 30 years of experience and is well-known in the industry for his hands-on client involvement and long-term relationships. Throughout his career, Korren has negotiated over 1,800 leases ranging from 1,000 square feet to 265,000 square feet, representing 9.1 million square feet. He has participated in over 45 acquisitions and dispositions valued at over $2.9 billion and supervised over 485 interior construction and new development projects.
“Over the last several years, many mid-sized firms have merged into larger companies or closed, leaving a void in the marketplace. As one of the largest broker-owned companies, Lee & Associates NYC is well-positioned to fill that gap by providing institutional quality service combined with local market expertise,” said Korren. “I see enormous opportunity in helping the firm further establish itself as a best-in-class, mid-size, full-service real estate service provider. Lee & Associates NYC maintains an entrepreneurial environment and a great company culture, and I’m excited to be in a position to elevate the Company’s reputation and drive business as both a manager and dealmaker.”
Most recently, Korren was a Principal with Avison Young in New York City, responsible for new business development, transaction management, and lease negotiations. Before joining Avison Young, Korren was a Principal and Chief Operating Officer of EVO RE Group, a 50-person commercial and retail leasing and property management firm that was merged with Herald Square Properties. Korren also held executive positions with several prominent owners, including Savanna, Swig Equities, and The Witkoff Group.
