Lee & Associates: Water filtration company takes 16,000 sq. ft. in Whippany
A water technology company has leased 16,000 square feet of industrial space in the Whippany section of Hanover, according to a brokerage team with Lee & Associates New Jersey.
Nephros, which provides filtration solutions to the medical and commercial markets, will occupy more than half of a building at 30 Leslie Court under a lease with Faropoint, according to a news release. The South Orange-based user will benefit from the property’s 17-foot ceiling heights, office space, two dock doors and parking for about 15 vehicles, brokers said, while also noting that the complex is minutes from major thoroughfares such as routes 10 and 46 and interstates 80, 287 and 280, providing access to Newark Liberty International Airport and other destinations.
Josh Krantz of Lee & Associates New Jersey represented the tenant, adding that the deal marks an expansion of Nephros’ New Jersey operations and is the third lease that he has arranged on the firm’s behalf. Kate Granahan and Chad Hillyer of CBRE represented ownership at the 25,000-square-foot building.
“This property’s Morris County location, offering easy access to regional thoroughfares as well as Nephros’ headquarters, was very attractive to our client,” Krantz said. “Due to the nature of its business, the company’s products must be stored in a temperature-controlled environment under 68 degrees. With that as a key requirement in our site search, property ownership agreed to install a new air conditioning system at 30 Leslie Court and is also upgrading the building’s sprinkler system.”
