LEE & ASSOCIATES REPRESENTS TWO INTERNATIONAL BIO TECH COMPANIES RELOCATING TO APEX, NC, LEASING OVER 57,000 SQUARE FEET OF LAB/INDUSTRIAL SPACE

 

May 4, 2021 (Raleigh, NC) – Lee & Associates Raleigh-Durham announced today that Moss Withers, CEO and Principal, Karah Jennings McConnell, Executive Vice President and Principal, and Brian Farmer, Vice President and Managing Director, negotiated leases for two Bio Tech Lab Companies relocating to Apex, NC. EnviroFlight will be developing 30,233 square feet of space, while Korber Medipak Systems has leased 27,400 square feet.

EnviroFlight

EnviroFlight, a division of Darling Ingredients Inc. (NYSE: DAR), is developing a 30,233 square foot R&D and Corporate Center in Apex, North Carolina. Groundbreaking on the new facility began in April 2021 while EnviroFlight expects to be in the facility in early 2022. The facility will concentrate on target research areas including expanding the knowledge base for alternative uses of black soldier fly larvae (BSFL) in animal health, animal nutrition, cosmetics, and other product development. EnviroFlight is currently the only company to produce BSFL, an environmentally friendly and sustainable source of high-value nutrients, on a commercial scale in the United States.

Korber Medipak Systems

Korber Medipak Systems (Korber) signed a 27,400-square-foot lease at Peak City Business Park, developed by GreenHawk Corporation, and will occupy the space by early 2022. Korber, a producer of pharma biotech and medical devices, is headquartered in Fargo, North Dakota. Korber has been a leading supplier of pharmaceutical products for the past 125 years and offers a variety of services from development and production to inspection and packaging. Korber’s existing Triangle operations will relocate and expand at Peak City Business Park.
