Lee & Associates Raleigh-Durham HQ Nominated for Costar Impact Award

Downtown Cary is flourishing with new breweries, restaurants, offices, apartments, and a new seven-acre Downtown Cary Park. The Lee, a 21,000 SF, 3-story office building, located in the heart of downtown Cary, completed in July 2023, with Lee & Associates Raleigh-Durham headquarters as the major tenant. A new Towne Bank branch will open in the first floor in 2024.

The Lee, located across from the Downtown Cary Park and the Cary Library, is a tribute to Cary history. Hometown Cary natives, Moss Withers, Lee & Associates’ CEO and founder, and Michelle Rhino Anderson, COO, led the development of the building. The property sits on the edge of Downtown Cary, and the development sparked new interest in this section of downtown, with new high end residential development and proposed commercial development on the way.

Situated at the corner of Walnut Street and Kildaire Farm Road, The Lee presents a modern brick exterior, floor-to-ceiling glass windows, and an outdoor third-floor patio with stunning views of the new Downtown Cary Park. The interior of the building blends modern amenities with a throwback vibe, featuring a public lobby with a dynamic LED light wall, a modern open staircase, exposed mechanical systems, and industrial light fixtures. Many of the trees from the property were repurposed throughout the building.

Multiple spaces within the building prioritize collaboration and provide top-notch resources for employees, clients and guests. Thoughtfully designed space has unique glass features and architectural masonry that lends a contemporary look to this established Cary area and provides businesses and employees a strategic location in the heart of town.
The third floor includes offices, conference rooms, kitchen, event space and a unique outdoor heated patio. Frequently, The Lee serves as the gathering place for community events, parties and performances and meetings for multiple organizations, including: GiGi’s Playhouse, Triangle Commercial Real Estate Women, Cary Chamber of Commerce, Grace Christian School, YMCA of the Triangle, Miracle League of the Triangle, Women in Business Leadership, Greater Raleigh Convention & Visitors Bureau and business after hours.
