Wilmington, N.C., February 11, 2025 – Lee & Associates, the largest broker-owned commercial real estate firm in North America, announces the opening of a new satellite office in Wilmington, North Carolina led by Sandy Thorpe as Managing Director. The office will specialize in retail, office, industrial, land, and multifamily.
The Lee & Associates Wilmington office will be an extension of the Lee & Associates Raleigh Durham office, led by Moss Withers as CEO and Ted Boyd as President. The offices will work closely together, leveraging the resources, expertise, and collaborative synergy between the two locations to provide seamless service to clients across the state and throughout the Southeast. Additionally, Russell Stewart and Dan Koeller, experienced professionals from the Raleigh Durham office, will play an active role in the Wilmington market, further strengthening the office’s capabilities and expanding its reach in the region.

Recognized for his contributions to the industry, he has been named to Wilmington’s 40 Under 40 (Class of 2022), Top Biz 100 “Influencer,” and 2023 Coastal Entrepreneur of the Year. In addition to owning Thorpe Co., Thorpe is a key partner in the Soda Pop District, a 3.5-block adaptive reuse project featuring over 100,000 square feet of restaurant, retail, industrial, and office space—an award-winning development recognized for Best Adaptive Reuse Development and the Best Deal Maker Award in 2023.
