Charles “Chip” Lanier Joins Lee & Associates Raleigh-Durham
RALEIGH, NC – Dec. 7, 2021 – Lee & Associates Raleigh-Durham, the regional office of the national commercial real estate firm Lee & Associates, announced today that Charles “Chip” Lanier has joined the commercial brokerage firm as vice president in the company’s retail team. In his new role, Lanier will focus on retail leasing and development opportunities.
Lanier has been a fixture in the Triangle’s commercial real estate industry for more than 30 years. He most recently served as vice president for Lat Purser & Associates’ Raleigh office. Prior to that, he worked with Plaza Associates for 27 years. As vice president with Plaza Associates, Lanier directed the asset management for an $835 million real estate portfolio encompassing more than two million square feet of space across 12 properties in three states. Lanier’s specialties include project leasing, outparcel sales, tenant representation, trade area analysis, shopping center management, and site selection.

Lanier holds several professional designations, including the Certified Retail Property Executive (CRX), Certified Leasing Specialist (CLS), and Project Management Professional (PMP). He is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and serves as a volunteer from SCORE, the Service Corps of Retired Executives. Lanier received his Bachelor of Science in Finance from East Carolina University and his MBA from Campbell University.
