With more than 29 years of experience, Matthew has successfully completed more than $24 billion of equity, debt and structured transactions on residential, office, industrial and retail properties. In addition, he has recapitalized operating partner portfolios, incorporating institutional joint venture capital.

CAREER SUMMARY

Prior to starting Lee & Associates, Matthew served with Transwestern Structured Finance, the Institutional Services Group of Grubb & Ellis Company, and, before that, in the Institutional Properties Group of CB Commercial Real Estate Group, Inc. Previously, Matthew served in the corporate finance department of Drexel Burnham Lambert. While there, he was responsible for originating new client business, generating more than $5 billion of new business in high yield
fixed income transactions, real estate syndication placements and economic development bond financing. Matthew began his career in public accounting, originally focusing on commercial accounts for multinational construction firms and, later, specializing in federal taxation.
